Position Summary:
Manages the overall aircraft schedule from station 42 to customer Ferry flight on the A320 assembly line (FAL) in Mobile, Ala. by keeping track of operational progress and anticipating recovery scenarios. Scope covers flow line, flight line and delivery, paint shop, aircraft movements, out of sequence working parties, major components movements, cross program site station occupation plan, testing on production aircraft to support development activities..
Planner I:
Takes input from multiple internal functions and uses them to synthesize a cohesive planning document. Assimilate basic understanding of short term planning processes, participate in routines, maintain up to date planning, maintain and record data, Report planning information to related functions, Basic APC Jaguar (Airbus planning tool) official area user, implies partial supervision.
Primary Responsibilities for Planner:
A: Planning routine/ inputs/output:
- Participate in production SQCDP meetings (flowline and flight line) daily, collect all planning related input, Keep the recording of all information to be able to use as information to generate a planning.
- Participate weekly Flowline STRM or Flight line STRM to be able to get input for FOT confirmation and delivery slot (include TOT) confirmation
- Participate weekly MPS routine, able to provide planning reporting (such as lead-time , FOT, TOT, takt delaying).
- Publishes weekly the single planning reference (built in APC jaguar) for all shop floor activities and makes sure it is cascaded to all levels of the organization.
B: Reporting/Interface:
- Monitors planning adherence. Maintains a set of KPIs that he/she report to all related functions (local/EU).
- Confirm Full Program (delivery slot) to the customer based on the industrial status.
- Interfaces with all A320 departments involved in the operations, primarily with senior management, inclusive from supervisor level to head of assembly line level
- Liaises with the EU A320 central planning team to:
- Report actual AC physical status (such as WIP, storage, FRC, delivered)
- Feed the long term planning with accurate and up to date industrial data
C: Daily planning deviation activities management
- Providing planning input by attending regular meetings such as QSR management, Engineering change
- Involving in any WP coordination and providing planning input.
- Coordinate with related stakeholders for unexpected planning (adding lead-time/adjust delivery slot) requests.
- Issue notification to all the A320 related functions for Aircraft storage/FRC.
- Support creating planning scenarios due to unexpected delays, parts issue, damage rework to advise production how to prioritize A/C based on industrial constraints (sequence, resource, position, manpower) and contractual dates.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, supply chain management, business administration, or closely related field, or may have an equivalent level of experience.
Experience:
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
- Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong understanding of SAP ERP system
- Able to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision in order to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of both budget and financial management skills, with a focus on CAPEX
- Ability to work on several projects/tasks simultaneously
Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):
- Effective communication skills including the ability to writing reports and present data to senior management
- Solid attitude favorable for teamwork
Technical Systems Proficiency:
- Must demonstrate proficiency in G-Suite and Microsoft applications.
- Experience in Microsoft NAVISON or Jaguar is highly desired
Travel Required:
- 20% Domestic and International travel required

Decision Making, Complexity:
- Create planning scenarios to advise H/O Site Services on facilities and industrial constraints office space, support services, infrastructure and manpower.
- Lead the Site's monthly MPS meeting and trigger actions from the Site senior leadership team.
- Challenge requirements & constraints from different functions, propose alternative scenario at both high & detailed level, in order to achieve committed & robust industrial & planning baseline (especially in case of deviations, delays or modifications during development, industrialization & initial ramp-up phase)
- Participate in in-process data collection and team problem solving. Understand and apply basic Continuous Improvement tools / principles 5S, Data-Driven Decision Making, Know your Customer and Communication Boards
Job Dimensions, Contributions to Success:
- Build the long, mid & short term planning in accordance with the Aircraft delivery forecasts and in adherence with the site's baseline planning.
- Chair all site planning meetings. Challenge and lead key delivery stakeholders across Functions and associated Partners using the knowledge of the company organization, main processes, taking account of the aircraft production/Flight line phase lengths.
- Responsible for collecting and validating all delivery data is accurate and a reliable source for Airbus planning, information published to Customers and for performance measurements reporting to Mirabel/EU-based entities.
- Analyze on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis the production indicators and determine any short / mid / long term trends in order to anticipate any future potential risks.
- Apply the appropriate project management methods, processes and tools for managing project and process requirements and risks, monitoring and controlling of project progress, setting up and managing schedule.
- Highlight any bottleneck and identify investment opportunities to meet additional capacities (CAPEX, HR, outsourcing, etc.)
- Monitor deviation into the plan due to: unpredictable incidents and planning changes requests from Customer/Airline, Production, Supply-chain, Manufacturing-engineering, Configuration, or Transport and ability to adapt the plan according to these inputs (OSW, working parties, ...), build recovery plans and launch crisis-modes
- Ability to use flexible and adaptable working styles to build and develop effective cross-functional team work.
