Position Summary: The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading projects using project & program management tools and techniques. Accountable for effective decision making to ensure risks are mitigated as well as scope and schedules goals are met. Responsible for managing the project finances to ensure budgets are maintained and resources are utilized properly. Lead cross functional teams to achieve project milestones and support stakeholders using change management processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure project execution On-Time/On-Quality/On-Cost.
  • Establish business cases, using financial & operational data.
  • Establish project schedule(s) & control of the project(s), using earned value management.
  • Define & manage the industrial set-up of projects, to include the work breakdown structure.
  • Establish the project governance & organize project teams/work package leaders into the organizational breakdown structure.
  • Manage project resources within the company's matrix organization.
  • Assist in financial planning, cost analysis and control for project operational and capitalized expenditures.
  • Control & report of the project status to customers and to the internal organization.
  • Manage of Risks & Opportunities.
  • Analyze As-Is conditions & defining/developing the To-Be solution.
  • Create & implement the project customer acceptance plan.
  • Track tasks and actions against the project baseline.
  • Establish KPIs to endure project targets are being maintained.
  • Manage project milestones as well as prepare/present milestone gate reviews with senior leadership steering committee.
  • Maintain stakeholder engagement and communication plans.
  • Responsible for internal/external customer contact.
  • Lead projects in the Final Assembly Line(FAL)-Mobile, in collaboration with the Industrial Engineering department in Europe.
  • Change management practices to be utilized in the deployment of the projects.
  • Monitor the performance of the deployed project.
  • Collect lessons learned and best practices.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Management, Required.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience working in project and program management, Required.
  • 3+ years in a production or industrial environment, Required.
  • Experience in Aviation/Aerospace/Automotive, Preferred.
  • Expereince with tooling/asset management & factory digitalization, Preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • PMP Certification or AIB Bronze Level Certification, Preferred.
  • Agile, Six Sigman Green Belt, Lean +, DfSS or Black Belt Training, Preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in G-Suite & MS Office applications.
  • Strong knowledge of PPM tools & techniques.
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills.
  • Ability to galvanize a team together to reach project goals.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills in math and science.
  • Able to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, while dealing with a high volume of complex information and specific deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills including the ability to write reports & present data to senior management.
  • Ability to speak to large groups of people to present status reports.
  • Experience using LBIP+/DMAIC methodology, Preferred.

Travel Required: Domestic & International

Eligibility: Able to work in the U.S. without a current or future need for VISA sponsorship.

Physical Requirements:

  • Vision: Adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to observe manufacturing operations including equipment as well as individual tasks.
  • Hearing: Able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings and on the production floor and flight line. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
  • Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment as well as production-related tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and power drills, etc.
  • Carrying: Able to occasionally carry up to 50lbs/22kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
  • Lifting: Able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs/22kg.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Able to push/pull items on production and in office areas.
  • Sitting: Able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer, in meetings and observing production processes.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: Able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: Able to stand for extended periods of time, often on concrete floors observing production operations or delivering information.
  • Travel: Able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time, at short notice.
  • Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
