Position Summary:
The Logistics Surfaces Coordinator will be the logistics work stream leader for operational storage and densification strategies. As
such, the individual would be responsible to manage logistics requirements definition, risk and opportunities as well as milestone
planning and deliverables to ensure the success of projects associated with storage optimization. He/she identifies opportunities for
densification, improved logistical flows, optimization and logistics footprint reduction (containment in case of ramp-up) as well as
enabling future logistics surface needs. His/her role includes End-to-End implementation of the required solutions including budget
management and Multi-Functional Team lead in close cooperation Logistics Service Provider (LSP). The job holder will also participate
in Airbus internal benchmarking initiatives in order to ensure cross-fertilization and implementation of best practices in terms of
logistics footprint optimization across Airbus sites.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Focal regarding storage analysis, densification strategies, or proposals for surface needs extension that develop new
Logistics Surfaces projects
- Coordination of projects, drumbeating open actions/risks until completion or resolution
- Analyzing and improving processes in accordance with Six-Sigma-methods
- Liaise and ensure close cooperation with LSP
- Liaise and ensure close cooperation with program leadership on project status - utilizing proper escalation channels for
support when required
- Budget Management including CapEx requests
- Benchmarking and best practices within Airbus and industry wide on optimized logistics storage solutions

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration or related
field (Equivalent experience will be considered)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and six sigma principles
- Project leadership experience and familiarity with project milestone planning
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience with logistics / warehouse / inventory management experience (or combination of related fields)
- Experience in project management (knowledge of Airbus LBIP+ methodology would be a plus)
- Capacity to synthesize and hierarchize information from various sources
- Customer orientation with winning/convincing attitude
- Lean Manufacturing, Business Case development
Licensure/Certifications:
- Certified PMP - preferred
- Lean Six-Sigma certifications - preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
- Knowledge of supply chain and physical logistics processes and detailed knowledge and understanding of the principles,
methods and IT-tools used
- Strong analytical skills enabling you to identify and resolve problems and find innovative methods to apply existing
procedures to create new solutions
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational follow through
- Introduction to technical drawings
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Google Workspace
- Knowledge of and familiarity with aviation quality processes
- Min Capacity to learn, convince and influence; capacity for decision making
- Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations.
- Demonstrated capability in project estimating, task scheduling, scope control, and stakeholder management,
cost management
Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):
- Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Proficiency in English is required, whereas fluency in other languages is highly desirable.
- Position will interface with all levels of the Mobile FAL organization this requires a clear understanding of confidentiality and
professionalism.
Technical Systems Proficiency:
- Knowledge of common business applications such as SAP/R3 (Module PP/PM)
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
Travel Required:
- 5% Domestic and International

- Candidates will be responsible for working directly with Operations, Inventory Control, third party contractors and other
departments across multiple programs to make recommendations for maintaining and improving warehouse operations
- Independently establishes requirements and coordinates actions with stakeholders to ensure they are fulfilled
- Required to lead or attend virtual meetings with team members from Europe and Canada

Physical Requirements:
- Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to observe manufacturing operations including
equipment as well as individual tasks.
- Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings and on the production floor and flight line. Able to
hear safety alerts and warning signals.
- Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying
size with or without amplification.
- Equipment Operation Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment as well as
production-related tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and power drills, etc.
- Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 50lbs/22kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of
continuous improvement projects.
- Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs/22kg.
- Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items on production and in office areas.
- Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer, in meetings and observing production processes.
- Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
- Standing able to stand for extended periods of time, often on concrete floors observing production operations or delivering
information.
- Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information or observing production.
- Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time.
- Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor
and/or outdoor surfaces.
