Position Summary:
As the Process Performance Engineer, you will provide technical assistance (methods, products, etc.) to the Production teams, with the aim of optimizing the industrial process, observing safety, cost, quality and lead-time criteria.
Position continuously evaluates the current build plan with our operations team ensuring the most efficient process is being used and is in accordance with the Airbus Operating System (AOS).
Primary Responsibilities:
Series Production Process Time Optimizer:
- Producing PERT/GANTT diagrams
- Program Evaluation Review Techniques diagrams are developed to identify task dependencies.
- Producing line balancing for each MSN.
- Defining the critical cycle => Industrial or => Technical
- Analyzing industrial capacities
- Calculating the workforce and resources
- Updating time baselines
Development Process Time Optimizer:
- Defining the critical cycle => Industrial or => Technical
- Calculating the workforce and resources
- Contributing to the definition of the industrial architecture
- Studying and optimizing flows
- The time management focal point for the Final Assembly Line (FAL) meaning you are the person that completes the calculation for how long a process should take in an ideal state.
Continuous improvement activities:
- Define stations to be analyzed.
- Deviations and Initial Allocated Time/time spent objectives, performance.
- Process modification
- Station optimization
- Direct interaction with Operations team
- Detect and analyze malfunctions
- Update workloads
- Process improvement proposals
- Align Airbus Operating System (AOS) focus areas to the established plan.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Plan regular feedback loops with the Production Team
- Subject matter expert on-site for PPE
- Work needs to be in Accordance of the Airbus Operating System
- Participate actively to the FAL projects
- Develop / improve and track KPIs for the Station
- Lead special projects, assigned by the manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:
- High degree of flexibility and initiative
- Proven ability to influence others and lead small teams
- Proven ability to work on several projects and tasks simultaneously
Education: BS Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience, Required.
Experience: Required: 2+ years of Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or Operation
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
- Possess the motivation to learn
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and tools used in manufacturing engineering.
- Ability to work in a team environment, cross-functional team environment, as well as independently and with customers and channels.
