The Head of IM North America E2E Planning & Logistics Product & Service Line's Airbus North America is responsible for:

  • Business Relationship Management for his/her E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions activities for all Airbus Commercial (US, Canada), Airbus Helicopters (US, Canada, Mexico) and Airbus Defense & Space (US) business functions dealing with industrial activities:
  • Production Planning
  • Transport / Distribution / Warehouse Management
  • Strategic alignment of IM strategy and roadmap for PSL E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions.
  • Design and implement industry solutions in North America Region (US / Canada / Mexico) in line with Airbus overall standards as defined in Europe or in the frame of the IM Region.
  • Promote and deploy state of the art digital solutions in the PSL E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions in line with AIRBUS Operating Model and Standards.

Key Missions:

  • HO IM NA E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions PSLs is enabling an optimum relay between strategic decisions and commitments taken at IM Leadership Team and Business counterpart(s) and on the other hand the execution of these decisions and commitments at product level teams, the heart of IM value creation and delivery.
  • HO IM NA E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions PSLs has overall accountability on the performance (delivery, costs, people management and well-being) of the related product teams. PSL scope is end-to-end (Design / Build / Run).
  • Drive continuous improvement of all products and services within the E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions PSL, in all aspects (financial, user experience, efficiency, effectiveness, simplification, technical performance, cyber security, resilience, obsolescence etc.) and across the full application lifecycle (design, build, run).
  • Maintain a backlog of work with clear priorities agreed with the respective business stakeholders.
  • Develop people skills and career, aim at people adaptability/employability and anticipate future needs for the company.
  • Acts as an advocate on behalf of business stakeholders to ensure his/her function's services & products meet his/her business priorities and needs.
  • Represents his/her function and promotes its vision, value, services, and capabilities.
  • Responsible for the roll-out of Group IM-supported processes, programs, information systems such as ARP and their strategic importance.
  • Consolidate E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions PSL budget figures split by RC and NRC


  • Fosters and ensures a pipeline of innovative features and technologies is maintained.
  • Works with the Product Managers to develop and deploy a convergence/decommissioning plan of the related products.
  • Leads the PSL design authority (architecture choices; technical standards) in close collaboration with IM Enterprise Architects
  • Cultivate close and productive relationships with Peers and Business leaders to create a well-balanced, transparent, prioritized backlog of transformational and business continuity objectives.
  • Participate actively in the IM & Business collective portfolio governance to ensure value driven investments.
  • Defines the mid-term and long-term strategy of the PSL related products optimizing business value while applying IM strategic decisions.
  • Drive portfolio management and manage allocation of business continuity and run budget envelopes to the PSL/Products and ensure respect of budget envelope.
  • Provide single points of contact for his/her counterpart(s) in the Functions, aligned to the level of seniority of the audience.
  • Apply the sourcing strategy through Make / Buy / Near-Shore / Off-Shore decisions and manage the supplier performance and contract for their scope, including satisfaction of IM and non-IM customers.
  • Attract, retain and engage the appropriate workforce of E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions PSL fostering People empowerment and development, and encouraging their participation into Communities of Practice.
  • Ensure policies, standards and guidelines related to transverse governance are strictly applied in their perimeter.
  • This position has operational responsibility for the E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions PSL and related staff located in the various Airbus North America Region to deliver the projects and services to the business: Mobile FAL, Mirabel FAL & Plant, Grand Prairie, Columbus, Fort-Erie, Queretaro.
  • This position is end-to-end accountable in front of all the Customers of the services delivered by the E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions PSL.

Primary Responsibilities:

[People]: 10%

  • Manages the IM team in charge of designing, developing, maintaining and supporting E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions and accordingly recommends employee actions including hiring, promotion, transfer and discharge
  • Plans and directs PSL staffing, performance and employee development

[Planning & Budgeting]: 10%

  • Works with IM Governance and Others IM Domains/PSL's to identify opportunities in the IM Master Plan
  • Collaborates with group and divisional counterparts to understand and align support requirements for E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions.
  • Works with IM Governance to identify and capture (operational and project) license cost elements and others Recurrent Costs in the IM budget
  • Manages related budget performance and identifies first area of savings

[Projects]: 50%

  • Ensures strategic vision alignment between his/her function and the Business
  • designs, develops, deploys and supports local applications fulfilling local business needs.
  • Responsible for deploying and supporting Industry applications that are centrally developed in Europe within the parent companies
  • Manage projects by using appropriate methodology (waterfall, fast track, agile).
  • Partners with IM Domains/PSLs to ensure proper design and implementation.
  • Ensures that projects are delivering the appropriate business value (savings, efficiency, business growth,..)
  • Perform other duties as assigned

[Application Development, Maintenance and Support]: 20%

  • Guarantees end-to-end of services according to established SLAs.
  • Liaise with the business and IM teams back in Europe to contribute to the design, development, and deployment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with global Airbus IM Operations solutions counterparts to develop and improve standards.
  • Ensures compliance with Airbus IM Operations solutions standards, security standards & evolving cyber security requirements

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:


  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • At least 10 - 15 years of experience in application development and support in the manufacturing environment.
  • At least 10 years of Project Management experience in the manufacturing environment
  • At least 5 years of experience in people management.
  • Understanding of Airbus IM standards, project and services methodologies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of IT supplier landscape in North America is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Knowledge in the Industry area: manufacturing, shop floor, FAL, supply chain, logistics, and quality.
  • Knowledge in software solutions such as ERP, Analytics, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Experience in working with multicultural teams.
  • Ability to adapt in a changing environment.
  • Able to work closely and effectively with all levels of business and IM management.
  • Recognizes, and focuses department on, high priority objectives.
  • Holds people accountable for results.
  • Inspires trust, demonstrates flexibility and encourages frequent open communications and welcomes feedback.

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and facilitation skills
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, French recommended and due to Airbus European roots, German or Spanish language skills are a plus.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • SAP, ClikNBuy, Analytics solutions (Palantir, Clik Sense, Skywise, etc.)

Travel Required:

  • 10% both Domestic & International.

Organizational information:

This position reports to the Head of Domain IM for Operations for Airbus North America Region.

Job Dimensions, Contributions to Success:

  • At least 50 critical applications to deploy, maintain and support.
  • Ensure Delivery of Group Strategic Initiatives for NA Region on PSL's E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions (A220 Separation, A320 / A220 Ramp-Up, ARP, DDMS, STRONGER, AHI S4HANA ...)
  • Responsible for end-to-end IM Service Delivery on Solutions applicable for PSL's E2E Planning & Logistics Solutions Business

Nature of Contacts:

  • Involved communication on a frequent basis with internal and external parties (service providers).
  • Permanent need for communication with Airbus North America Region leadership team including CEOs and to the IM employees across the region but also with IM externals and service providers.

Physical Requirements:

  • Includes: Lifting, Carrying, Pushing/Pulling, Sitting, Standing, Squatting/Kneeling, Walking, Speaking, Hearing, Vision, Manual Dexterity, Travel. Include estimated time or percentage for each factor and maximum weight for lifting.

  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and arms.

  • Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas and on the shop
  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.
  • Travel/Mobility: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time and on short notice.
  • Able to work outside hangers in changing locations. Able to work on movable lifts at the aircraft at a height of approximately 40 ft.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor or outdoor surfaces other business interactions
