Position Summary:

    • Responsible for the implementation, monitoring & reporting of A220 financial processes in Mobile. Set-up of new processes and alignment both with A220 Finance in Mirabel, Canada, and A320 & Site Finance teams in Mobile for recurring activities.
    • Set-up and follow-up on processes linked to the A220 program such as tax, training, and job credits, and controlling activities linked to program and SLA costs in Mobile.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the setting of the A220 AOP in Mobile including quarterly updates (FCI, FCII, FCIII)
  • Develop and maintain the A220 headcount and cost models
  • Planning, approval, monitoring, and reporting of local A220 operational expenses
  • Track, Submit and report tax, training, job, and investment credits ensuring maximum benefit to the company
  • Monitor and Control SLA's with Mobile and Mirabel sites
  • Ensure SLA's are providing cost-effective service and work with A220 Operations and Site to find cost reduction opportunities

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support Mirabel team in A220 unit cost build-up
  • Provide US tax-relevant information for tax filings
  • Finance partner to US customs team
  • Support end of month closing and cash management
  • Support R&O monitoring and reporting
  • Support Mobile claims process e.g. supplier non-quality
  • Local Finance support to operational teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned by A220 Finance.

 

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • Over 8 years of experience in a finance controlling/accounting role
  • Robust accounting knowledge
  • Accustomed to working with financial reporting systems such as SAP
  • Autonomous and able to work with multiple stakeholders in multiple companies and countries

 

 

Education/Special Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Finance or Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluent in English. French would be a plus.
  • Experience in both accounting and controlling preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in project and product controlling.
  • Knowledge of US accounting practices and the ability to accommodate US generated information in international finance and accounting system reports.

  • Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
  • Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
  • Equipment Operation Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment.
  • Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 10lbs/5kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues, or as part of continuous improvement projects.
  • Lifting: able to occasionally lift to 10lbs/5kg.
  • Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Travel: able to travel independently domestically and internationally on short notice for extended periods of time.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight lines and airstrips, and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
