Position Summary: 

The job holder will report to the FAL Logistics Manager and will work within a multifunctional team and will be the first contact for operations on any planning and logistical issues. The overall purpose of the role is to support operations by logistics line side feed in partnership with the Logistics Service Provider (LSP) interface.  The scope of activity is the Single Aisle Final Assembly Line.


Essential Functions :

  • Identify and evaluate disturbances in the Supply Chain and improve related processes
  • Support Information Systems (IS) department with setting requirements and implementing IS functions
  • Prepare and provide training of processes and methods in the scope of material management
  • Understand an appreciation of Lean Manufacturing philosophies and techniques
  • Create and verify service level agreements with different stakeholders
  • Manage missing parts lists in coordination with Production and FAL Hamburg Back Office
  • Perform material planning for free-stock, flying consumables, and safety stock
  • Track and trace the physical position and status of material and material delivery units
  • Provide Line Side Support in case of logistical problems
  • Follow up reordering process for non-conforming material with high priority
  • Coordinate reassignment of aircraft parts including the corresponding documentation
  • Initiate the scrap and return process for non-conforming material
  • Support operations line side on rework/concession parts supply
  • Act as a focal point for Logistic Service Provider and Supplier On-Site Support
  • Ensure close cooperation/coordination with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements (Skills needed): 

The Jobholder should have 3 years of experience in supply chain and logistics in an international aviation company 

Well-founded knowledge of supply chain and physical logistics processes and existing background of processes in departments within the proximity of logistics (e.g., quality, production, information systems, manufacturing engineering) are required. It is necessary to have a strong ability to apply acquired know-how to the FAL USA perimeter to secure AIRBUS standards and requirements consequently.

It is of high importance to have strong analytical skills to reveal problems and to be eager to develop stable solutions by using existing procedures. It belongs to the proficiencies of the jobholder to create training documents and to convey complex processes. An excellent international team working skills and excellent communication are essential to this position.

  • Detailed knowledge of common applications such as SAP/R3 (Module PP/PM)

Education/Special Qualifications:

 A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain & Logistics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience is required.

Intermediate to Advanced level of skill in Microsoft Office Suite.
