Position Summary:

The incumbent is the aircraft procurement specialist for the management of supply chain operations for all cabin equipment during the cabin furnishing phase in the FAL delivery and during the delivery process at the Delivery Center until transfer of title. Responsible to manage supplier field support team activities to resolve non-conformities (NC, eTLB, eQLB, Concession etc.) on time and on quality and to manage the quality of the suppliers' deliverables. Holds suppliers accountable for support activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage issues related to cabin furnishing and deliveries of BFE/SFE cabin equipment; ensure full transparency and availability at cabin furnishing start (CODD). Mitigate risks and implement corrective actions and recovery plans to allow reliable AIRBUS planning. Avoid interruptions of the AIRBUS assembly processes in close coordination with the back office, including the setting of priorities.
  • Manage all outstanding work activities (NC) requiring escalation as interface between the field support teams and their home bases, coordinate with procurement (POC and PC) functions.
  • Analyze interruptions, shortages, failures in the delivery processes. Support to return shipments of BFE/SFE equipment to either suppliers, customers or back to the stock at Airbus.
  • Serve as the focal point for Supplier management activities according to AP 5209 & A1130, ensure quality in process to achieve customer satisfaction with cabin.
  • Ensure clear communication with the FAL US & ADC through weekly reports and regular participation to operational meetings.
  • Provide KPIs and evaluations related to cabin supplier activities and the quality of deliverables, including root cause analysis and action proposals to POCM and POCS working in close relation with POCB.
  • Train, mentor and coach Cabin Procurement Line Side Support employees to ensure a successful and sustainable BFE/SFE management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:


  • Required: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. In lieu of a degree training as a technician in a technical field related to aviation manufacturing.


  • Required: 5 or more years of working experience in cabin procurement related fields

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Required:
    • Demonstrably effective communication skills including fluency in written and spoken English.
    • Knowledge of the SAP system, MS office profound knowledge, supply chain and quality knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

  • Vision: able to see and utilize fine work tools, computer screens; able to move through office and from point to point to find specific co-workers and in-house experts.
  • Hearing:able to hear in normal conversations and respond to warnings and signals.


  • Speaking: able to participate in normal business conversations.
  • Equipment Operation(personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to use work tools defined in job description with skill and acceptable results; able to operate standard office equipment and utilize electronic id to enter building.
  • Carrying: able to carry up to 40 lbs./18kg. when transporting documents, printer paper and similar items.
  • Lifting:able to lift up to 40lbs/18kg. on occasion.


  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push/pull equipment, tools, production carts and office chairs and pieces of equipment.
  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time in front of a machine, on a tool bench or computer terminal while writing bulletins or participating in meetings.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to regularly squat/kneel to access items or tools stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: able to stand for long periods of time in meetings and discussions.
  • Travel: able to travel through office/work complex and occasionally within US for business meetings.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas sometimes on uneven surfaces to obtain items for work, retrieve/replace tools and to reach meetings, visitors and direct others to meetings.
