Position Summary: ensure compliance to regulations (FAA, transport Canada, EHS, etc.) and manage mandatory certifications and QAPI in area under own responsibility.

Essential Functions:

  • create and maintain workstation profiles for all positions and appoint all employees in the area under own responsibility in compliance to regulations (transport Canada, EHS, etc.), mandatory certifications and QAPI
  • implement and maintain performance-based learning system in area under own responsibility
  • execute technical diagnosis (employee technical evaluations, competency gaps, analyze critical skills, investigate performance issues and top 3 rncs)
  • execute training needs analysis (based on requests, technical evaluation or competency gap results, critical skills analysis results, performance issues or top 3 rnc investigations)
  • develop or review technical learning solutions in compliance with performance-based learning system and aligned with technical diagnosis realized and to close any technical competency gaps identified
  • prepare for and deliver learning solutions and technical training classes in compliance with performance-based learning system and OL standards
  • execute data entry in strategia
  • train technical trainers and coaches
  • develop and execute learning projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Deliverables:

  • All workstation profiles (Trade roles, mandatory certifications, workstation specific roles EHS and workstation critical skills) are created and maintained in Strategia LMS; are compliant to regulations,  regularly verified and data integrity ensured
  • Learning content development are developed and delivered under Organization Learning (OL) standards
  • Assessment and granting of certifications and technical skills are enforced according to OL standards
  • Audit results on learning (TC, FAA, etc.) are addressed
  • Periodic assessment of certifications and technical skills for blue collars are plan and execute
  • All work done is compliant to regulations, mandatory certifications and QAPI 3.8.6.2 requirements
  • All positions and work packages present in workstation are identified and workstation Profiles are verified for any changes on a monthly basis and adjusted when necessary
  • All workstations employees are reviewed, competencies, flexibility, quotas, certifications or critical skills gaps are identified and report produced using Strategia or Excel
  • All steps of Performance-based Learning System are in place and maintained
  • All workstation profiles are completed in Strategia as per OL standards
  • For each competencies or critical tasks, quotas are identified and maintained; Proper number of employees are trained and evaluated (cote of 1 in all competencies of their job role in Strategia)
  • Training on Performance-based Learning Standards is available and delivered by LBP when needed"
  • Employee technical evaluation executed as scheduled, results analyzed and competency gaps reports filled
  • Critical tasks identified, analyzed and recommended learning solution provided and validated with LBP and
  • Learning solution proposal developed

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-4 year of training experience or 5-8 years of industry experience
  • General aeronautical knowledge preferred
  • Requires ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form with internal and external customer
  • Previous training experience preferred
  • Must be able to use Microsoft office
  • Able to work day and evening training shifts

Working Conditions/Physical Demands (for ex. Lifting, working in heights):

Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens.  Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions

Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings.   Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.

Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.

Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment.  Working on jigs at fuselage at a height of 15 feet.  Able to work on hydraulic lifts sometimes at a height of up to 40 feet.

Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 55lbs/25kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.

Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 55lbs/25kg.

Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.

Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.

Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.

Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.

Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time.

Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
