Position Summary:

Responsible to ensure that Mobile FAL personnel acquire the necessary knowledge and proficiency to correctly work on their futures stations or department. Coordinate with Operations / QA / QCM the needs of the stations linked to report of Non Conformity. Work with Quality to ensure the accuracy of Pre Definded Requirements (PDR).

 

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct Airbus specific theoretical and practical training requested and required for employees
  • Ensure that airbus FAL personnel are aware of all the safety precautions and security aspects of aircraft operations.
  • Assist the trainees individually when they encounter technical, pedagogic or linguistic difficulties
  • Peform annual recurrent training and corrective retraining as needed
  • Reviews production schedule and organizes required and requested training with AIDT
  • Maintain the network with AIDT concerning parts, tools and materials needed for the trainings
  • Keeps production records and monitors for accuracy of reporting.
  • In conjunction with Quality / Quality Conformance and Operations monitors and improves the needs of the stations or department
  • Other duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develops training material that may not yet exist based on business need
  • Modify current training materials based on business need
  • Is an advocate for LEAN within group; encourages LEAN thinking and supports and assists in the implementation of LEAN initiatives/KAIZENS.
  • Ensure Compliance with applicable rules and regulations/company policies and procedures relating to workmanship.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-4 year of training experience or 6-9 years of equivalent experience
  • A mandatory knowledge of processes being used in the FAL
  • Demonstrate an acceptable general aeronautical knowledge with respect to ATA 100  
    • Requires ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form with internal and external customer
    • Previous training experience preferred
  • Must be able to use Microsoft office, SAP, OMI, Zamiz, docmaster, and AVL2.

  

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions
  • Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings.   Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
  • Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. Working on jigs at fuselage at a height of 15 feet. Able to work on hydraulic lifts sometimes at a height of up to 40 feet.
  • Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 55lbs/25kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
  • Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 55lbs/25kg.
  • Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
