Position Summary: 

Responsible to collect, review and sign aircraft documentation to ensure the "As-Built" status is in line with and finally equal to the "Target Configuration".   This documentation enables the issuance of the applicable aircraft release and conformity TCCA and/or Company forms.

Primary Responsibilities:

To perform duties as assigned to ensure that aircraft documentation is up to date and the "As-Built" status is in line with the "Target Definition". This documentation includes (but is not limited to) Constituent Assembly Inspection Reports (CAIR), Aircraft Inspection Reports (AIR), Technical Logbook (TLB), Quality Logbook (QLB). 

Establish, analyze and validate CAIR under responsibility of Final Assembly Line (FAL), Plant or Supplier as assigned.

Investigate, solve or justify conformity discrepancies.

Assist in the analysis of CA Reallocations; comparing the build and target status of multiple Constituent Assemblies.

Manage the resolution of all discrepancies at aircraft level in strong coordination with internal/external contacts (Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, I.T. etc.).

Check the conformity status of all Constituent Assemblies (CA) integrated in the aircraft.

Attend status meetings and be able and willing to represent the Conformity Department.

Collect, review and file documentation relevant to support the build and sell of aircraft.

Establish, verify (with signature) and present the Aircraft Inspection Report, on time and on quality, at milestones of aircraft build.

Other task and activities as assigned.

Archive the necessary documentation. 

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Have at least 3 years' experience in the aeronautical field (such as design, production, quality or maintenance). 


Having a professional education or a technician's or engineering diploma (or equivalent)

Education reflecting technical competence from a technical school or college program equivalent to 2-4 years, specializing in aviation technology or an equivalent amount of education and work experience.

FAA Airframe & Power plant license preferred or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME).


Four or more years of experience in Quality Management, Conformity or Inspection in aviation business.

Equivalent experience considered on case by case basis. 

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

Competency to understand Company conformity attestation processes.

Skill and knowledge of Company configuration management rules and Aviation Regulation (TCCA CAR 561 and Company Production Organization Manual)

General knowledge of Aeronautical Regulations; Production Organization Approval (POA), preferable TCCA and FAA

General knowledge of Aerospace Industry Standards.

Knowledge of Configuration Management Basics.

General familiarization of the aircraft and systems.

Managing or writing procedural or instructional documentation.

Knowledge of Problem Solving Methods (PPS, 5 Why, etc.)

Must be able to work in the United States of America.

Knowledge of aircraft assemblies including nomenclature, serial numbers and other key elements related to aircraft parts.

Familiarity with FAL production processes and the timing of activities for planning.

Ability to proficiently use computer based programs (SAP, Microsoft EXCEL, etc.).

Must be able to work under pressure and take sound decisions that will not comprise safety or integrity.

Must be available to work flexible hours.

Must be available to work off shifts when required.

Must understand the link between Aeronautical Regulations, Industry Standards, and Company Directives & Methods.

Must understand how Company internal documentation links with the certification of the aircraft.

Must be able to listen and learn.

Must have a positive attitude and be able to work well with others.

Must be organized and able to manage large amounts of data in an effective manner.

Must be able to say "no" when necessary.

Must be able to present the work performed to confirm compliance to requirements.

Must be able to demonstrate competencies required to fulfill the assignment.

General knowledge of Lean Management with the ability to identify areas of improvement and propose solutions.

Must understand Information Technology systems and their interfaces with one another. 

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

Able to read, write and speak English proficiently.

Ability to read, write or speak a second language is preferred.

Must be able to effectively communicate complex issues to target audiences and coordinate actions which lead to proper resolutions. 

Technical Systems Proficiency:

Soft computer skills proficient Microsoft programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; SAP; Internet Explorer; etc.

Must be able to utilize Microsoft Excel formulas to enable efficient data reviewing.

Physical Requirements:

  • Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions.
  • Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
  • Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and arms.
  • Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
  • Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 30lbs/14kg.
  • Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas and on shop floor.
  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.
  • Travel/Mobility: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time and on short notice.
  • Able to work outside hangers in changing locations. Able to work on movable lifts at the aircraft at a height of approximately 40 ft.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor or outdoor surfaces other business interactions.
