Position Summary:

Defining NC programs according to the Engineering / Manufacturing process Engineering specifications. Specifying jigs and tools, making numerical simulations, validating and optimizing NC programs. Developing test and integrating the NC program on the machine under the supervision of the manufacturing process engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ability to use and influence manufacturing engineering process design and development principles for ease of manufacture, improving for quality, cost, safety& delivery.
  • Understanding of manufacturing engineering processes and methods.
  • Define and program on a 3-4-5 axis CNC.
  • Participate in the investigation of root causes of problems and analyze potential solutions by assessing the costs, impacts and risks of a change in production
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of production changes and coordinate the first unit
  • Participate actively in production support by coordinating problem solving with other support departments(Andon);

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

  • Main deliverables are done by computer. They encompass investigation and analysis from the production line and parts manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and have a good visualization in 3D with good analytical skills;
  • Have a good logical mechanical skills & cutting tools knowledge


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent years of experience
  • 5 years' experience in CNC programming

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Knowledge in state of the art jigs and tools and tooling systems, including data acquisition and process planning, lean concepts
  • Apply AOS PSE, in order to continuously improve industrial performance
  • Knowledge of the process of Value Stream Mapping, in order to create and evaluate current state and future state value stream / swim lane maps identifying all actions (both value added and non-value added) required to bring a product through from raw material to the arms of the customers.
  • Creating documentation visually with standard symbols that enables the identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the Quality documentation architecture and the related processes
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety law, risk management and compliance in the context of the aerospace industry and its' stakeholders.
  • Understanding of health and safety management systems and processes, and the role of external Standards bodies such as ISO or OHSAS.
  • Knowledge of the main health and safety impacts, (mental and physical health,wellbeing, ergonomic, workplace, fire, mechanical, physical agents, substances,radiological, biological, legal, etc.), of industrial and non-industrial activities, and the generic hierarchy of risk control, including individual and collective protection.
  • Knowledge of the main objectives and activities within Airbus that aim to improve health and safety performance, and the potential consequences if health and safety procedures are not followed.

Communication Skills:

  • Have the ability to establish and maintain a good relationship with all internal customers.
  • Have the ability to work in an international team.
  • Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to present clear and concise briefings and reports to customers and executives

 Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to work with computer-based software such as Catia V5, Enovia, etc.;
  • Excellent team player, are perseverant and have a good judgement

 Physical Requirements:

  • Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions
  • Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
  • Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
  • Equipment Operation: able to operate personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors.
  • Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
  • Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 30lbs/14kg.
  • Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas and on shop floor.
  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.
  • Travel/Mobility: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time and on short notice.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor or outdoor surfaces other business interactions
