Position Summary:

The objective of this position is to support the Flight Line/Delivery Director and associated team to ensure sustainability and improve the company Customer's satisfaction within the A320 rate increase and A220 integration and associated ramp-up. As such, with a collaborative, continuous improvement and quality mindset, this position will ensure collaboration with the applicable upstream departments, putting in place a structured, fact-based and collaborative way of working. This position will identify issues and risks, establishing contingency plans, providing feed-back to accountable organizations and ensure governance are in place toward the objective.

Primary Responsibilities:

Flight Line Industrialization:

  • Define clear value added KPIs and develop performance boards.
  • Reinforce SQCDP management.
  • Clarify/re-inforce adding values and engages local team support.
  • Develop a "Corrective action" board for various levels.
  • Consolidate, anticipate training needs and build a plan integrating future AOP.
  • Coach and develop teams across all associated department.
  • Create a reporting and communication structure at various levels to ensure messages and escalations are consistent across all levels and functions to all Flight Line / Delivery associated entities.

Coordination/feedback implementation between Flight line and external entities:

  • Flow Line and Quality
  • Internal suppliers, such as but not limited to = X-Plant/Logistic, etc...
  • External suppliers, such as but not limited to= Engine Manufacturers/Vartan/MAAS, etc...
  • Create monthly feed-back tool including indicators, basic work flow, general information, specific activity feed-back, and as needed, facilitate/coordinate meeting with Flight Line suppliers to resolve urgent issues.

Project Leader:

  • Rate 5+ - 2020/2021 projects across flight Line including FAL governance.
  • AOS Standards deployment and training.
  • A220 A320 integration and share activities coordination.
  • Change Management representative.

 

Additional Responsibilities:  

Support daily activities and hot topics in a productive and positive way.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

  • Knowledge of AOS, Rate 5+ and Change Management processes.
  • Project Manager experience with a multifunctional team and interface with multiple internal and external suppliers.
  • High professionalism and respect for processes and procedures.
  • Able to interface with various levels of management.
  • Able to make quick decisions based on available information and managing associated risk.
  • Must be able to train multiple layers of an organization.
  • Must be able to take complex processes and simplify them for implementation and training purposes.
  • Must be able to take challenges such as "Culture Change".
  • Able to listen and adjust.

Education:

  • Educated in Management or Technical field related to related tasks within this Job description or a related field experience.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in an aviation related field.

Licensure/Certifications:

  • AOS/Change Management.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form with internal and external entities at all levels of management.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Working experience in SAP environment is a plus.

Decision Making, Complexity:

  • Able to make quick decisions based on available information and managing associated risks.
  • Able to propose, present, implement and sustain improvement.
  • Able to manage day to day business in full autonomy.
  • Able to gather, in case of emergency, the right people to evaluate a path forward and manage associated risks.

  • This position is responsible to prepare and implement Airbus Industrial requirement in Flight Line/Delivery.
  • This position has a direct impact on customer satisfaction and customer image of Airbus FAL USA.

Physical Requirements:

  • Vision: able to see and utilize computer screens; able to move through office and from point to point to find specific co-workers and in-house experts.
  • Hearing: able to hear in normal conversations and respond to warnings and signals.
  • Speaking: able to participate in normal business conversations.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate standard office equipment and utilize electronic id to enter building
  • Carrying: able to carry up to 40 lbs./18kg. when transporting documents, printer paper and similar items.
  • Lifting: able to lift up to 40lbs/18kg. on occasion.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push/pull office chairs and pieces of equipment
  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time in front of a computer terminal while writing bulletins or participating in meetings
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to occasionally able to squat/kneel to access items stored on low shelving
  • Standing: able to stand for long periods of time working or in meetings and discussions
  • Travel: able to travel through office/work complex and occasionally within US for business meetings.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas sometimes on uneven surfaces to reach meetings, visitors and direct others to meetings.
