 Position Summary: 

Reporting to the HO WMP and Logistics, the Inventory Analyst is responsible for applying technical expertise to resolving IT and software-related transactional issues for the A220 US FAL operations. The Inventory Analyst will work closely with Work and Material Planning, Production, Quality and Procurement to ensure smooth operations and problem resolution.

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes advanced SAP and process expertise to resolve transactional issues, supporting Material Planning, 3PL and Operational Procurement activities;
  • Develop and monitor process KPIs, especially related to material management;
  • Act as the resident operations SAP reference, MRP expert;
  • Participate in training of SAP-users;
  • Ensure that the processes are followed and that the right transactions are used for the right processes;
  • Able to share knowledge with the users and produce reports when needed;
  • Participate in and drive process improvement as relates to Logistics and WMP;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training: 

 Education:

  • Bachelor degree in any Aerospace, Inventory Control or Operations Management-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 Experience:

  • Fundamental understanding of relational databases and their functionality
  • 5 years' experience with SAP or other MRP transactions related to supply chain, planning or production.
  • 2 years of experience in a special projects role, using SAP or other MRP solutions.

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Advanced understanding of SAP or other MRP;
  • Understanding of HMS;
  • Knowledge of EWM, APO
  • Advanced understanding of MS Office software, including Excel and Access;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of shop floor safety and OSHA regulations;
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze situations and provide solutions;
  • Knowledge of and ability to use and apply LEAN knowledge and techniques;
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

 Physical Requirements:

  • Vision: Adequate to enter and read material on computer screens.  Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions.  Must be able to read wire numbers, and differentiate colors
  • Hearing: Able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings.   Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
  • Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. 
  • Carrying: Able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
  • Lifting: Able to occasionally lift up to 30lbs/14kg.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Able to push/pull items in office areas.
  • Sitting: Able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: Able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: Able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.
  • Travel/Mobility: Able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time on short notice.
  • Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
  • Working/Space: Able to work in changing locations.
